About the Role

Sid Harvey’s, an HVAC wholesale distributor, is seeking a full-time Driver for its Johnson City, NY location. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, efficient order processing, and safe transportation of products and equipment while professionally representing the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers promptly and courteously with purchases and order processing.
• Use proper safety measures during driving, loading, and transporting.
• Conduct all job responsibilities safely, timely, and efficiently.
• Represent Sid Harvey’s in a professional manner.
• Accurately and safely load and unload trucks.
• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality.
• Maintain clear aisles and walkways, ensuring proper material organization.
• Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch through cleaning and straightening.
• Drive company vehicle for customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and an acceptable driving record.
• Report back orders and material discrepancies.
• Report customer feedback and potential opportunities to the Branch Manager.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Perform all duties safely and inform the manager of hazardous conditions.
• Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required.
• Assist in year-end physical inventories.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21.
• 3 years of safe driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence.
• Acceptable driving history record.
• Adherence to the Sid Harvey Industries, Inc. Driving Safety Policy.
• Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
• Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Ability to stand; walk; carry and/or reach.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to talk or hear.
• Ability to read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving.
• Ability to apply sound reasoning and logic.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
