About the Role
This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the warehouse, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to, reporting any areas of concern to a Team Leader or Manager immediately.
- Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Work to standard operating procedures, ensuring that processes are adhered to.
- Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) when trained to do so, ensuring visual safety checks prior to use and reporting any defects.
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and carry out stock counts as required.
- Maintain high standards of site house-keeping.
- Keep up to date with all relevant training regarding product handling, assembly, health and safety.
- Support a culture where the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
- Care of products as if they were your own.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- Undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by management.
Requirements
- Understand the importance of an effective warehousing operation.
- Professional attitude.
- Clear, confident verbal communicator.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items.
- Familiarity with computer-based WMS.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with speed of work.
- System-led approach while showing initiative to fix system issues immediately and pro-actively.
- Acts in a respectful way to team members, listens to others and remains positive and friendly.
- Uses own strengths to support fellow colleagues working hard to have great working relationships whilst sharing ideas and best practice.
