About the Role
beWirken is seeking an individual to build and lead a new funding pillar focused on entrepreneurial philanthropy. This role offers the opportunity to create systemic impact in education, work with a new generation of funders, and utilize AI for innovative outreach and showcase creation.
Responsibilities
- Win over people and organizations for systemic educational change, especially family offices, wealthy individuals, and entrepreneurial funders.
- Build and sustain these relationships over years.
- Develop new approaches, such as through venture philanthropy, impact investing, and the startup ecosystem.
- Convert contacts into binding, long-term financing.
- Strategically develop our impact financing.
- Create compelling pitches and interactive showcases, supported by AI.
- Operationally support curated formats like our Impact Dinner.
Requirements
- Think entrepreneurially and have experience from the for-profit, startup, VC or venture philanthropy, banking, or wealth management sectors.
- Have the drive to work on a major societal task.
- Enjoy meeting people at eye level and building trust.
- Desire to shape independently and get started quickly.
- Possess a feel for affluent target groups and their decision-making logic.
- Proximity to a metropolitan region like Hamburg, Berlin, or Frankfurt is a plus, but not a requirement.
