About the Role

This position manages, plans, and directs all service activity within our customer base in the Managed Services Environment, with a focus on Electrical (UPS/DC/Electrical Infrastructure) aspects, including the activities of Sub-Contractors and Vertiv Teams. The role aims to achieve sales targets, manage expenditure within budget, and maintain the company image while ensuring commonality of process and field deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day electrical operations of key accounts (UPS, DC and Electrical systems).
  • Oversee maintenances and conduct power/capacity audits nationally.
  • Manage Generator building load tests.
  • Participate in an on-call roster every second week or as required.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Raise CRQs in ITSM.
  • Manage the activity of third-party contractors.
  • Prepare monthly reports and financial forecasts.
  • Attend monthly meetings with key customers to review SLA performance.
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to address operational discussions, actions, and compliance.
  • Provide electrical quotations.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with customers.
  • Travel interstate approximately 25% of the time.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the Global Services offering and make direct representation to prospects and customers.
  • Work with the Managed Services Manager to develop business plans.
  • Initiate, lead, and manage projects to increase operational sales performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and address business improvement opportunities.
  • Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations.
  • Actively promote safety in the workplace.
  • Assist the Finance division in resolving accounts payable issues.

Requirements

  • Trade or Engineering qualifications desirable.
  • Servicing Critical Infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
  • Previous experience with Data Centre or Telecommunications sectors is an advantage.
  • Previous exposure to a service project management environment.
  • Exposure in the Electrical Contracting Service Industry.
  • Exposure to switchboard design and maintenance will be highly regarded.
