About the Role
You are responsible for the assembly, adjustment, and testing of high-precision mechanical and optomechanical assemblies for high-speed electro-optical transceivers. Your meticulous and quality-conscious work contributes significantly to the production of high-performance products for demanding data communication applications.
Responsibilities
- Assembly and commissioning of mechanical, mechatronic, and electronic assemblies and systems, such as measuring instruments, test systems, and fixtures.
- Assembly of special machines for the production of optoelectronic components.
- Professional control cabinet wiring for the aforementioned systems.
- Maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of the mentioned systems.
- Maintenance and creation of technical documentation.
- Participation in prototype construction and sample production.
- Participation in the introduction of new products and processes into the production line.
- Involvement in the procurement process.
Requirements
- Technical training or a Bachelor's degree, e.g., as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician for automation technology, precision mechanics technician, industrial mechanic, or aircraft mechanic.
- Distinct knowledge in the use of tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to implement technical documents, such as technical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Experience with components of industrial assembly automation, particularly drive technology.
- Proficiency with software tools for visualization, data acquisition, and documentation (e.g., E-Drawings, Fluid-Sim, Office).
- Very good fine motor skills and high diligence when handling sensitive components.
- Distinct awareness for detailed and precise work.
- Documentation of work steps.
- Very good German language skills (written and spoken, C1).
- Good English language skills (written and spoken, B2).
- Experience in assembly, testing, or servicing of precision machines or systems, ideally in semiconductor, optics, medical technology, or electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge in machining technology.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming in the field of assembly automation.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes.
- Basic knowledge of CAD viewers or simple 3D model views for better interpretation of assemblies.
