About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated employee for our Marzahn operating workshop who will work in a 3-shift system. Classification within the TV-N Berlin collective agreement will be based on professional experience. We are the heartbeat of Berlin, shaping the future of mobility and sustainably developing our capital city for people and the climate with heart and mind.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform maintenance work on components and systems in tram vehicles.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance on tram vehicles and their electrical and mechanical systems and components according to technical specifications.
• Undertake repairs and troubleshooting on tram vehicles and assemblies following technical malfunctions or accidents.
• Carry out removal, modification, and installation of new components as part of modernization or improvement projects for the vehicle fleet.
• Perform test and acceptance drives, provided the necessary qualifications are held.
• If deployed in operational service, potentially troubleshoot vehicles on the route during passenger operation and participate in the recovery of external vehicles on routes or of damaged or derailed tram vehicles.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in an electrical engineering field (e.g., Electronics Technician for Plant Engineering, Electronics Technician for Information and System Technology, or comparable vocational training).
• Knowledge of maintenance processes.
• A fitness examination according to BOStrab is part of the hiring process.

Skills

• Knowledge of quality assurance measures.
• Experience with technical operating procedures.
• Ideally, knowledge of the construction of rail vehicles.
• Valid driver's license class B.
