About the Role
This role is responsible for managing the financial accounting processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key part in financial reporting and process optimization within a dynamic and communicative environment.
Responsibilities
- Independent execution of ongoing financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank) and reconciliation
- Preparation and creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB, including accruals and provisions
- Creation of intercompany reconciliation
- Preparation of VAT pre-declarations, consumption tax declarations, and close collaboration with tax advisors and auditors
- Support during audits
- Support with monthly financial reporting and preparation of key figures for management and the group
- Co-shaping and optimization of our financial processes and tools
Requirements
- Successfully completed training as a tax assistant or completed studies with a focus on finance/accounting (comparable qualifications also welcome)
- Further training as a tax expert or balance sheet accountant desirable
- Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience
- Quick comprehension
- Independent, careful, and thorough way of working
- Knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Sage X3
- Confident presence in spoken and written communication
- Native-level German language skills
- Team player, doer, and enjoyment of the job are important
