About the Role

Cricket Australia is establishing a new Foundation Manager role to build a sustainable philanthropic funding platform supporting cricket's growth and social impact. This role will lead the Foundation's strategic growth, fundraising, donor engagement, governance, and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Foundation strategy, fundraising priorities, and donor engagement approach.
  • Build, manage and grow a pipeline of donors, philanthropic partners, and fundraising opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships with the Cricket Australia Board, Executive team, Australian Sports Foundation, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead governance, reporting and impact measurement activities, ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Develop Foundation communications, donor collateral, and impact reporting while representing the Foundation at donor and industry events.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in philanthropy, fundraising, donor engagement, social impact, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering fundraising, philanthropy, donor engagement, or social impact strategies.
  • Strong understanding of major gifts fundraising, donor propositions, private ancillary funds, family foundations, trusts, and structured giving.
  • Proven ability to identify, cultivate, steward and convert prospective donors into long-term philanthropic supporters.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging and influencing Boards, Executives, donors, advisory groups, and senior external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling donor narratives, impact reports, business cases, presentations, and Board-ready materials.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and governance awareness, including an understanding of donor intent, reporting obligations, impact accountability, and the distinction between philanthropic fundraising and commercial partnerships.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leaders, donors, and stakeholder groups, while building trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Must hold a valid Working with Children Check.
