ispace is looking for a Structure Analysis Engineer to join our team and help develop tomorrow's lunar exploration technologies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in spacecraft mechanical design, including lunar landers, lunar satellites, and other spaceflight systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the structural and/or thermal design efforts for spacecraft system development including lander and other transportation system elements.
  • Design structural components of the lander with conducting structural and/or thermal computational analyses for the system.
  • Support the completion of the component design specification and the design reviews.
  • Design/Analysis works including trade studies, material, component, manufacturing process selection, and design validation (i.e Analysis evaluation, unit test).
  • Support the test preparation of test plan, the report, the analyses/evaluations of test data for component and system tests.
  • Evaluate non-conformance materials from design and analysis perspectives and prepare the report.
  • Support detailed design of spacecraft system for structural, thermal, and operational performance (i.e. evaluation of mechanical environment for component).
  • Support preparations for test equipment and coordinate with Test facility for testing on test sites.
  • Report to the team lead and the group manager.
  • Support structural design for spacecraft system development including lander.
  • Perform structural analysis and evaluation of structural components and the entire system.
  • Support design specifications and Design Reviews.
  • Conduct Design trade-off studies, material selection, manufacturing processes, and design validation (e.g., analysis evaluation, unit tests).
  • Support test planning and execution for system or unit tests, prepare reports, and analyze/evaluate test data.
  • Evaluate non-conforming materials from a design perspective and prepare reports.
  • Support detailed design of the lander system for structural, thermal, and operational aspects (e.g., evaluation of mechanical environments for onboard equipment).
