About the Role

KPMG's Risk Management team is recruiting a manager in Sydney or Melbourne to provide risk management advice to the Deal Advisory & Infrastructure and Tax & Legal businesses. This role supports client-facing divisions nationally, ensuring services are delivered within KPMG's risk appetite by adapting to a fast-paced environment, applying risk management policies, analyzing information, interacting with senior leadership, and developing innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide risk management support nationally to client-facing divisions.
Maintain awareness and understanding of risk management.
Support service delivery to clients within KPMG's risk appetite.
Adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Understand and apply risk management policies and guidance.
Analyze information competently and efficiently.
Interact with senior leadership.
Develop innovative and creative solutions to resolve complex matters.
Lead projects with other risk management team members.
Act as a mentor to more junior staff members.
Work alongside the business in executing its strategic initiatives in a risk aware manner.
Review potential new products, services, alliances and acquisitions.
Develop best practice policies and guidance.
Develop and deliver risk management training.
Support stakeholders in commercial and contractual negotiations with KPMG clients and other third parties.
Assist in the coordination and execution of global quality and compliance review programs.
Project manage key risk management initiatives and projects.

Requirements

Risk aware, curious, commercially mature, articulate, resilient, and a confident communicator.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong drive to collaboratively develop commercial solutions to complex matters.
Curious mindset and a willingness to regularly engage with stakeholders using a variety of communication methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and present ideas with impact to senior stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously and identify when further consultation is required.
Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately and manage time effectively.
Strong drive for continuous learning and a natural curiosity about the business and the broader operating environment.
