About the Role

We are seeking a Core Operations Assistant Manager to join the Asia Pacific Global Delivery Fund Order Services unit in Sydney. This role is crucial for our end-to-end processing team, which handles security price updates, transactions, corporate actions, and client accounting report generation and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and delivery for assigned clients, focusing on operational risks to achieve key performance indicators.
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal standards and conduct reviews as needed.
  • Manage incoming queries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business units, shared services, outsource partners, and external clients to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop, engage, and retain a high-performing workforce through development plans and cross-training.
  • Optimize processes with the team and management to enhance operational efficiency and participate in projects for process improvements.
  • Escalate potential issues to supervisors or management promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years of custody experience and/or fund accounting/Transfer Agency experience.
  • Knowledge of custody-specific trade and cash lifecycle processes, including processing and settlement activities, is preferable.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of financial products and financial markets.
  • Strong computer competence (Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Good sense of risk awareness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for handling unknown issues.
  • Professional email writing skills.
  • Fluent spoken English and professional communication skills for multi-team interaction.
