About the Role

As a Senior Architect, you will bring strong conceptual design, technical judgment, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams. You will take ownership of design direction, manage client and consultant conversations, and ensure project intent remains strong throughout all project stages.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client and consultant conversations with clarity and calm.
  • Ensure the project intent stays strong across concept, DD, documentation, and construction.
  • Play a key role in guiding multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Ensure the design intent is delivered to the highest standard through all stages of a project.
  • Mentor others, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive team culture.
  • Develop and leverage networks and relationships.
  • Influence and present in a clear, confident, and concise way to influence clients or stakeholders and deliver impact.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Make decisions that positively impact financial performance.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years’ experience working across commercial, residential, health or education projects.
  • Experience as a Senior Architect.
  • Proven capability resolving complex project issues and coordinating consultants.
  • Comfortable dealing with contractors and builder-side conversations during construction.
  • Registered Architect (or on pathway to registration).
  • Strong understanding of how buildings come together.
  • Ability to translate design ideas into clear, coordinated DD packages.
  • Experience reviewing and refining design work to maintain quality across all stages.
  • Calm, clear communicator with the ability to simplify complexity for clients and project teams.
  • Able to bring structure and confidence to design reviews, issues resolution and project delivery.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, balancing design, detail and program.
  • Strong design sensibility paired with practical, solution-focused thinking.
  • Calm under pressure, with excellent judgment and attention to detail.
  • Values teamwork and mentoring as part of professional practice.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Interested in building more inclusive, sustainable communities.
  • Ability to take ownership and demonstrate accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a willingness to share personal insights and inspirations.
