About the Role

The Assistant in Nursing provides support to the Nursing staff in the delivery of basic care in a busy surgical orthopaedics ward. This experience could assist you in securing a New Graduate Position in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Nursing staff in the delivery of basic care in a busy surgical department.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in and undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing at 2nd year level.
  • Enrolled in and undertaking a Diploma of Nursing and in at least 2nd stage.
  • Certificate 3 in Health Service Assistance.
  • Complete fundamental clinical skills, to assist the RN/EN workforce.
  • Flexible and available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
  • Previous experience working in an acute healthcare area (desired).
