About the Role
CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join their Nonprofit team. This role involves specialized work with not-for-profit clients to help them secure funding for their institutions and the services they provide to their local communities.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with nonprofit clients from start to finish, including managing the budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff, and completing financial statements with related disclosures.
- Review client accounting and operating procedures.
- Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls.
- Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
- Utilize proactive and effective communication with staff, management, and clients to communicate technical matters.
Requirements
- Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
- Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.
