About the Role

CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join its State and Local Government (SLG) practice in any of its Mid-West Offices. The SLG group is a fast-growing practice area within CLA, serving over 2100 local, county, and state government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop client relationships.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding.
• Assist clients with meeting audit and financial planning objectives.
• Develop staff, mentor, and oversee client engagement teams.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines.
• Communicate important developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the engagement principal.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits and Single audits strongly preferred.
• CPA license certification is required.
