About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to oversee the complete delivery of a large-scale, multi-workstream digital customer-experience transformation for a major Australian retail group. This role involves orchestrating complex programs across multiple workstreams, including eCommerce re-platforming, order management, customer service, mobile app development, and extensive integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated programme plan across all workstreams, including scope, milestones, critical path, sequencing, and interdependencies.
  • Orchestrate parallel workstreams to ensure synchronized mobilization, building, integration, and release.
  • Manage release, environment, cutover, and go-live planning across brands and platforms.
  • Oversee scaled hybrid (agile + waterfall) delivery across onshore and offshore teams and multiple vendors.
  • Manage the programme budget, forecast, margin, revenue recognition, and milestone-based invoicing.
  • Administer change control for scope, SOWs, and change requests.
  • Provide input into opportunity development for programme extensions and new phases.
  • Manage programme governance, including boards, steering committees, PMO, status reporting, and decision logs.
  • Oversee RAID management across all workstreams, resolving cross-workstream dependencies.
  • Ensure delivery quality through milestone quality gates and stage reviews.
  • Provide delivery leadership across workstream/project managers, delivery leads, and PMO.
  • Manage resourcing, capacity, and utilization forecasting across onshore and offshore pods.
  • Coach and develop project and workstream managers.
  • Manage delivery relationships with client stakeholders, platform vendors, and the broader martech/loyalty ecosystem.
  • Ensure alignment across internal teams, client-side stakeholders, and third parties.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in programme/project management, with end-to-end ownership of large-scale, multi-workstream digital commerce or CX transformations (multi-million-dollar, multi-year, multi-vendor).
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise programmes on modern commerce and CX platforms, with complex API-led integration, identity, customer-data, and loyalty ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated commercial ownership of programme P&L and margin, including forecasting, revenue recognition, change control, and SOW/contract management.
  • Extensive experience running scaled hybrid (agile + waterfall) delivery across onshore and offshore teams and multiple third parties.
  • Strong governance discipline, including programme boards, steering committees, RAID, benefits realisation, and executive-grade reporting.
  • Fluency with enterprise delivery toolsets such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to hold a large, complex, multi-workstream programme together, demonstrating decisiveness, calmness under pressure, and a relentless focus on outcomes.
  • Collaborative style that works effectively alongside a Programme Architect and Client Principal without blurring accountabilities.
