About the Role

Account Director role focused on bringing value to Public Sector customers across Australia and New Zealand, serving Government, Higher Education, Healthcare, and Utilities. Responsibilities

  • Research customer's business and prepare thoughtful questions and insights for meetings.
  • Ask layered, open-ended questions to understand customer objectives and challenges.
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders across the customer's organization.
  • Shift communication style to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Lead with solutions, not products, when making recommendations aligned with customer objectives.
  • Sell with integrity.
  • Drive customer decision-making by achieving a shared vision and considering value propositions.
  • Think commercially and apply business acumen when crafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Use data and insights to support investment recommendations or overcome objections.
  • Proactively mitigate churn risk with a customer-centric approach.
  • Engage customers to confirm value and adapt strategy to optimize ROI.
  • Drive customer growth by identifying opportunities for greater value.
  • Apply business acumen in Account Planning, considering economic, industry, and company factors.
  • Map key stakeholders to assess relationship strength and create an outreach strategy.
  • Agree to joint accountability with colleagues and cross-functional teams for customer success.
  • Practice humility and ask for help when faced with challenges.
  • Be disciplined in Territory and Account Planning, Forecasting, and Quota Attainment.
  • Follow best practices when using CRM and other Sales tools.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability when applying AI and agentic technology to daily work.
  • Carry a revenue target and develop compelling strategies that deliver results.
  • Find and manage high-level business in an evangelistic sales environment.
  • Gather and use data to inform decision making and persuade others.
  • Assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers.
  • Orchestrate the closure of business with an accurate understanding of prospect needs.
  • Include multiple partners and management team members using competitive selling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing, quota-carrying sales, account management, or relationship management roles.
  • 5+ years of experience selling SaaS solutions, CRM platforms, software platforms, or consulting solutions.
  • Experience with HR software.
  • Experience with SaaS opportunities and Salesforce.com platform.
  • Experience selling solutions in the Public Sector.
  • Knowledge of software contract terms and conditions with the ability to create fair transactions.
  • Ability to include multiple partners and members of the company management team using competitive selling to position company products against direct and indirect competitors.
