About the Role
The Assistant Store Manager is a champion of the business, leading confidently to drive exceptional results. This role is key for expertise, direction, communication, and feedback to help the team achieve goals, while creating a customer-focused store environment with an engaging and convenient shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Supports General Manager in managing day-to-day store operations to ensure KPI targets are met.
- Cooperates with General Manager to develop clear action plans for the store and achieves objectives.
- Acts as a sales generation role model, leading with exceptional customer focus and coaching staff to improve selling opportunities and build customer relationships.
- Creates and implements visual and merchandising strategies to increase sales, understanding floor capacity and store layout.
- Utilizes tools and resources to enhance the customer experience.
- Generates ideas to evolve and grow the business, thriving in change and uncertainty.
- Motivates and inspires the team to achieve/exceed business goals through in-store and omni selling, using strong business acumen.
- Creates and maintains a positive and productive work environment fostering diversity, inclusivity, teamwork, creativity, and brand passion.
- Supports the General Manager in building a dynamic team through networking, recruiting, and anticipating future needs.
- Holds self and others accountable.
- Demonstrates operational strength and resourcefulness.
- Identifies and assesses training needs, creates tailored training plans, and implements training methods to enhance employee skills and performance in partnership with the General Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of retail sales experience with management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in meeting/exceeding sales and profits.
- Experience implementing merchandising strategies and changing visual sets.
- Acts with authenticity, sincerity, and transparency.
- Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
- Ability to constantly bend, open, lift, carry, and move merchandise and fixtures up to 40 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
