About the Role

A family in the Flatiron District seeks a nurturing and engaged live-out nanny for their baby, who will be around 3 months old at the start of employment. The role emphasizes supporting the child's development and well-being, with a desire for a long-term commitment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring baby's safety, health, and happiness
• Actively nurturing and engaging the child in age-appropriate educational, developmental, and fun activities
• Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones
• Advising parents on developmental milestones and necessary purchases
• Taking the child on age-appropriate excursions
• Diaper changes
• Maintaining the child’s nap, eating, and play schedules
• Child’s laundry
• Feeding, meal preparation, and cooking for the child
• Notifying parents when child-related items need restocking or clothes are outgrown
• Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy
• Flexible and able to stay longer as needed, including babysitting at night or on weekends
• Keeping a log/report of the child's schedule using the Huckleberry app
• Occasionally bathing and bedtime routines
• Open to occasional travel or overnights, likely domestic

Requirements

• 5+ years of nanny experience
• 2+ years of experience caring for infants aged 2-12 months
• Resides within a reasonable commuting distance from the Flatiron District
• Seeking a long-term role (3+ years)
• Respectful of parents' methods and receptive to feedback
• Proven track record of supporting developmental milestones
• Punctual and reliable with a professional demeanor
• Trustworthy, honest, and possesses good judgment
• Attentive, caring, and nurturing with a genuine love for children
