About the Role
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful, and financial results for Visa’s network clients. VCA solves strategic problems for clients using expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations, and macroeconomics. The Canada Consulting Practice provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers, acquirers, and fintechs in Canada, addressing challenges in profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments, and risk management. The Consulting Director will sell, develop, and deliver high-impact projects for Visa Canada’s FI partners.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage and manage advisory relationships with key clients and Visa client leadership in strategic and planning discussions.
- Cultivate and manage a pipeline of advisory work with clients to meet annual sales and project delivery targets.
- Lead advisory engagements and manage teams in project execution and career mentorship.
- Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations to address impactful opportunities and challenges.
- Partner with peers in other functional areas and global regional teams to leverage Visa’s resources.
- Produce insights and analyses to improve client performance, drive understanding of client issues, and provide strategic guidance for client priorities.
- Provide knowledge sharing, coaching, and training across functional teams and/or regions as a subject matter expert.
- Build scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents, and consulting approaches for the VCA practice.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior-level experience in corporate and business strategy/management consulting roles.
- Proven ability to deliver projects and expertise in consulting methodologies.
- Executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial, and collaboration capabilities, especially in a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated project management skills, managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial approach and vision, proactive self-starter seeking initiatives to advance.
- Substantial problem-solving ability with a strategic focus on impacting ROI.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Ability to work with large data sets to synthesize key impacts for clients.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented individual capable of handling numerous projects concurrently.
- Ability to identify key strategic issues and generate creative, innovative solutions.
- Understanding of banking/payments P&L and critical factors in driving profitability.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives.
- Prior experience working with Canadian banks and other financial institutions is a plus.
- Technology/digitally-savvy with an understanding of consumer economics/behavior, trends, and applications.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
