About the Role

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the definition, planning, and delivery of medium to large initiatives within the DSG PMO, supporting DSG priorities from strategy through execution. This role involves partnering with business and technology leaders to drive outcomes, manage interdependencies, and ensure disciplined delivery using appropriate methodologies. During the SPINCO transformation, you will collaborate with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to plan and execute Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) exit initiatives. Post-TSA, you will provide sustained leadership across the DSG portfolio, driving strategic execution, operational readiness, and continuous improvement while maturing PMO standards and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of project management including development ceremonies, cross-functional team coordination, and facilitation of meetings with stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine comprehensive project plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, risks, and contingency plans.
  • Manage large, multi-location virtual teams across diverse disciplines.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs to maintain accurate, updated project plans.
  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets, including forecasting, cost estimation, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor spend, optimize resource allocation, and implement corrective actions to maintain projects within approved budget parameters.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and collaborate with other project managers and team leaders.
  • Establish relationships across departments to recognize and actively manage project interdependencies.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers, including contract coordination and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with project scope, timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements.
  • Proactively address vendor risks and resolve issues.
  • Lead the eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing of requirements, business processes, and high-level solution designs.
  • Create, refine, and maintain delivery requirements and supporting artifacts.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define detailed project scope, manage and prioritize work.
  • Support software teams using the most appropriate delivery approach to achieve project outcomes.
  • Proactively identify, plan for, and mitigate project risks through approved actions and workarounds.
  • Lead cross-functional assessments for Concept phase projects, driving the conversion of conceptual ideas into actionable deliverables.
  • Generate key project deliverables for stakeholder review.
  • Actively participate in efforts to improve project management approaches through progressive tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Maintain working relationships with business stakeholders for project intake and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Proven ability to execute vaguely defined tasks using analytical skills, prior experience, and available research capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver software projects across a range of development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps).
  • Proven track record of applying strong time-management and organizational skills to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes on schedule.
  • Demonstrated experience managing remote project teams of 10+ members or leading complex multi-disciplinary projects involving multiple project teams across various locations.
  • Experience managing projects with cross-functional technical teams, including collaboration with software engineers, data engineers, and analysts.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, across all organizational levels including C-level executives.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior project managers in proven project management tools, practices, and methodologies.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Proficiency in collaborative platforms including SharePoint, Confluence, and HTML.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time to support project needs and stakeholder engagement.
