About the Role
Efficient is developing the world’s most energy-efficient general-purpose computer processor. We seek a Computer Architect with experience in design-space exploration across the hardware-software interface to impact the transformation of computing. This is a unique opportunity to influence products from development to scaled production.
Responsibilities
- Define the hardware-software interface for Efficient’s Fabric architecture in collaboration with Compiler and Digital Design teams.
- Analyze the performance and efficiency of key applications on the Fabric and competing architectures with Applications and Embedded teams.
- Build simulation infrastructure for rapid and accurate modeling of the Fabric's performance.
- Develop visualization dashboard infrastructure for continuous monitoring of the Fabric architecture's performance and efficiency.
- Design and execute experiments for design-space exploration and optimization of the Fabric architecture for key applications.
- Collect and analyze data from design-space explorations.
- Author internal reports, white papers, and research publications on the Fabric architecture.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of industry experience, or a doctoral degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience (3+ years) in designing and implementing architectural/microarchitectural simulators.
- Excellent coding skills in C++, Bash, and Python.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools like numpy, matplotlib, and Mathematica.
- Excellent technical communication skills in presentation and writing.
