About the Role
As Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, you will shape how Liberty Mutual Canada engages with employees, customers, business partners, and communities by leading integrated marketing and communications strategies to strengthen the brand, support business priorities, and foster employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Champion and model Liberty Values and Guidelines for Inclusion to foster a market-leading culture.
- Lead, coach, and develop marketing and communications talent, encouraging innovation and growth.
- Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications strategies supporting business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic communications advisor to business leaders and stakeholders.
- Partner with North American and global colleagues to align local strategies with enterprise messaging.
- Translate business strategy and complex topics into clear, compelling stories for various audiences.
- Strengthen and consistently express the Liberty Mutual brand across all communications.
- Lead the creative development and production of high-impact content and materials.
- Lead agency and vendor partnerships for promotional campaigns and strategic communications.
- Own and evolve key marketing and communications channels, driving adoption and improving audience experience.
- Establish measures of success and use data to evaluate effectiveness and improve programs.
- Lead the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in marketing and communications.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure innovative and effective approaches.
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept through execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field.
- Significant experience leading integrated marketing and communications strategies in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Proven ability to advise senior leaders and influence stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing talent, managing cross-functional teams, and working with agencies and vendors.
- Strong expertise across multiple channels, including digital, web, social media, employee communications, executive communications, events, and public relations.
- AI-forward mindset with practical experience using generative AI and emerging technologies.
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong project, budget, measurement, and prioritization skills.
- A data-informed approach to evaluating impact and improving audience engagement.
- Ability to work effectively across North American and global teams.
- A collaborative, inclusive leadership style aligned with Liberty Mutual’s values.
- Assets include experience in insurance or financial services, change communications, employee engagement, reputation management, crisis communications, B2B marketing, sales enablement, bilingualism in English and French, and marketing technology.
