About the Role

Serve as a technical quality leader within the design team, providing expertise in architectural design, construction documents, construction, building codes, and project coordination across a diverse range of healthcare project types. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, particularly OSHPD 1 facilities, and will work closely with the design and project teams to ensure technical quality, code compliance, and successful project execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Effectively coordinate work using BIM and other design technology.
Perform QA/QC on construction documents.
Assist in ensuring compliance with design intent and efficient project completion.
Coordinate with Project Manager or Project Director for effective resource scheduling and utilization.
Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and project team to clarify technical issues and share project information.
Interpret and understand the relationship between consultant documents and project documents, identifying potential clashes.
Produce constructable design and construction documents.
Generate design and construction documents, and actively work towards understanding jurisdictional code issues and resolutions.
Research construction materials, assemblies, and details.
Perform quality control on own work and maintain Taylor Design office standards for documentation.
Participate in QA reviews of technical documents.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent educational background.
Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in a professional architectural office setting.
5+ years of Construction Administration experience.
Strong field experience with HCAI projects.
Good to Excellent Revit knowledge as well as MS Suite.
Experience in Health Care.
CSI and CDT certification preferred.
