About the Role
Serve as a technical quality leader within the design team, providing expertise in architectural design, construction documents, construction, building codes, and project coordination across a diverse range of healthcare project types. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, particularly OSHPD 1 facilities, and will work closely with the design and project teams to ensure technical quality, code compliance, and successful project execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Effectively coordinate work using BIM and other design technology.
- Perform QA/QC on construction documents.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with design intent and efficient project completion.
- Coordinate with Project Manager or Project Director for effective resource scheduling and utilization.
- Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and project team to clarify technical issues and share project information.
- Interpret and understand the relationship between consultant documents and project documents, identifying potential clashes.
- Produce constructable design and construction documents.
- Generate design and construction documents, and actively work towards understanding jurisdictional code issues and resolutions.
- Research construction materials, assemblies, and details.
- Perform quality control on own work and maintain Taylor Design office standards for documentation.
- Participate in QA reviews of technical documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent educational background.
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in a professional architectural office setting.
- 5+ years of Construction Administration experience.
- Strong field experience with HCAI projects.
- Good to Excellent Revit knowledge as well as MS Suite.
- Experience in Health Care.
- CSI and CDT certification preferred.
