About the Role
The HR Lead oversees recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling for new hires, managing the HR Recruiter and ensuring a smooth hiring process from interview to placement. This role involves reviewing operational needs, collaborating with Client Managers on open shifts, and coordinating the recruitment pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the HR Recruiter to ensure sourcing efforts align with operational and client needs.
- Review WinTeam daily to monitor staffing levels, open shifts, and coverage needs.
- Confer with Client Managers to identify and prioritize open positions.
- Submit new hire requests to the Recruiter based on staffing gaps and client requirements.
- Conduct interviews with pre-screened candidates and evaluate suitability for hire.
- Finalize hiring decisions, initiate onboarding in Paycom, and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all hiring documentation and employment information prior to finalizing the onboarding process.
- Ensure each new hire is added to WinTeam and assigned to the appropriate schedule.
- Oversee background checks, licensing documentation, and I-9/E-Verify completion (via Recruiter support).
- Ensure all guard credentials (licenses, permits, IDs, etc.) are uploaded and verified in Paycom.
- Provide post-hire follow-up to confirm proper scheduling, post order assignment, and site readiness.
- Collaborate with Compliance to ensure licensing and regulatory adherence across all hires.
- Monitor daily open shift reports and communicate with Client Managers to resolve coverage issues.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure new hires are plugged into the master schedule immediately upon onboarding completion.
- Verify that Client Managers and Operations staff have updated schedules and post orders for each new hire.
- Serve as the main liaison between HR, Operations, and Client Managers regarding staffing.
- Provide daily oversight of the HR Recruiter’s sourcing and pre-screening tasks.
- Report weekly hiring, onboarding, and staffing progress to the HR Manager and Director of Operations.
- Supervises maintenance of enrollment, application, and claims records for benefit plans.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of HR, operations, or recruiting experience in security, staffing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) and workforce scheduling systems (WinTeam preferred).
- Proven experience in interviewing, onboarding, and operational staffing coordination.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Maintains a valid Driver's License.
