About the Role
The Post Closing Specialist provides administrative support for preparing loan packages for transfer to a financial institution. This role involves auditing documents, depositing funds, recording transactions, and reconciling files to ensure timely delivery of closing and collateral documents.
Responsibilities
- Perform post-closing review of closed loan packages to determine completeness, accuracy, and compliance with recording guidelines.
- Submit loan packages electronically or via mail to jurisdictions nationwide.
- Make appropriate and timely payments for recording and transfer/mortgage tax.
- Disburse/Fee Transfer funds related to recordings, including refunds for recording overages.
- Track closed files and documents submitted for recording, updating the company operating system.
- Scan and index closing documents within the loan operating system.
- Review, log, and mail final trailing documents.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to request information needed for timely document submission.
