About the Role
The Consumer Insights Manager (CIM) uncovers new ways to grow categories and differentiate Give & Go by developing facts that support marketing strategies and translating them into actionable initiatives for business success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product and Channel Managers and key business stakeholders to translate insights into innovative solutions that support business strategies.
- Monitor and advise on general market trends impacting the business.
- Provide foresight into consumer trends to predict future market developments.
- Ensure brand strategy and activity are based on factual market understanding.
- Develop customized consumer and category insight presentations for sales team use in category reviews.
- Manage the acquisition and delivery of consumer insights to drive product/program development decisions.
- Lead the development of tools and communication vehicles to enhance learning on trends, problem-solving, and innovation.
- Drive the development and use of market insight throughout the business.
- Coach coworkers in discovery processes and tools that satisfy business objectives.
- Participate in group creativity sessions, interpretation workshops, vendor summits, and product development panel groups.
- Manage external research consultants within budgets.
- Provide clear, timely, and insightful summaries of brand and business performance for executives and the Board.
- Live and role model leadership competencies, holding self and team accountable for a positive work environment and culture.
- Ensure proper onboarding and development of staff through induction, coaching, PDP dialogues, and corrective action.
- Ensure job vacancies are filled by completing required processes and representing the company with integrity during recruitment.
- Ensure completion of function compliance training.
- Ensure an engaged workforce through sound working relationships and execution of Employee Survey action plans.
Requirements
- Completion of a university degree in business and/or marketing.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in market research or a related analytical field.
- Strong analytical market research and trend analysis skills.
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex information and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with diverse groups in multiple locations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Expert-level experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Full G2 driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within Give & Go plant sites.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
