About the Role
Receive, review, document, and process new business applications while meeting time and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Process completed applications, ensuring state regulated criteria are met and policies are issued timely.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state regulations.
- Communicate with the New Business team, management, and field agents to obtain missing information or resolve data conflicts.
- Identify new processing system issues and communicate them to management.
- Understand billing structures for multiple Credit Unions to ensure correct application drafting.
- Document missing and pending application requirements and resolve them promptly.
- Generate and review periodic processing reports, communicating outstanding issues to management.
- Process contract changes including face reductions, age corrections, and smoker/non-smoker reclassifications.
- Participate in multi-step review processes with management for contract changes.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of customer service experience required.
- 1-2 years of data entry experience required.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word required.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload.
- Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.
- Must be dependable.
- Occasionally required to work overtime.
Skills
- Accounting experience preferred.
- Industry recognized certifications preferred.
