About the Role
The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is seeking a Social Media & Community Manager to manage its daily presence across platforms, build community, and drive conversations that advance AI safety ideas. This role reports to the Head of Public Engagement.
Responsibilities
- Translate technical research into clear, story-driven social copy.
- Own the content calendar and publishing strategy across social and owned surfaces.
- Engage in comment sections by replying, maintaining focus, and seeding discussions.
- Build the amplifier network (creators, clippers, power-listeners) through direct outreach and providing shareable clips.
- Conduct social listening and establish the social playbook, calendar, and tech stack for future scalability.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience managing brand or creator social accounts with demonstrated audience growth.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts into plain language.
- Native fluency with social media platforms and a community-building mindset.
- Exceptional judgment and ability to work autonomously.
