About the Role

This is a high-impact role responsible for turning settlements into fast, clean, and compliant payouts, ensuring accuracy and ownership of the disbursement process.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finalize settlement statements, including attorney fees, costs, liens, and client net recovery.
  • Request, track, and resolve medical liens and subrogation claims.
  • Communicate with medical providers, insurers, and lienholders to obtain accurate payoff amounts.
  • Coordinate and execute client disbursements, ensuring all funds are properly allocated.
  • Confirm settlement funds are received and cleared prior to payment.
  • Partner with accounting/trust teams to process payments to clients and third parties.
  • Clearly explain settlement breakdowns to clients in a professional and understandable manner.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation for every file.
  • Close out cases once all payments and documentation are finalized.

Requirements

  • A detail-obsessed operator with zero tolerance for financial errors.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Clear communicator who can confidently work with clients, providers, and internal teams.
  • High ownership mentality—you take responsibility for getting cases closed cleanly and correctly.
  • Process-driven mindset with the ability to execute quickly and consistently.
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury law firm (settlements, case management, or disbursements), lien resolution / subrogation, or insurance claims (bodily injury or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
