About the Role
The Senior Executive Assistant II to our VP of Customer Success operates as a trusted extension of executive leadership, functioning as a strategic operator, project manager, and thought partner. This role is central to a large, fast-moving organization, utilizing judgment, initiative, and influence to maintain peak velocity for the VP and their team. The position involves end-to-end ownership of the executive experience, anticipating needs, navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, and executing on ambiguous requests. It is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and excel at being the connective tissue of a high-performing organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the VP's calendar, communications, and daily operating rhythm with foresight.
- Plan and book multi-leg domestic and international travel, anticipating buffers, prep materials, and regional stakeholder touchpoints.
- Act as a trusted liaison to senior leaders, investors, and cross-functional partners, representing leaders in every interaction.
- Own expenses, team meeting agendas, action item tracking, and behind-the-scenes coordination for organizational accountability.
- Lead planning and execution of team onsites, offsites, and executive events with high attention to detail.
- Take on high-impact, time-sensitive projects, including preparing executive briefings and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Champion Samsara's operating principles and model them daily.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience supporting VP-level or above executives.
- Experience in GTM/Sales in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to operate with discretion, sound judgment, and high EQ in sensitive or ambiguous situations.
- Exceptional communication skills with polish and precision in writing, speaking, and representation.
- A track record of building scalable systems and processes, not just executing tasks.
- Ability to maintain San Francisco business hours (Pacific Time), regardless of location.
- Flexibility to travel approximately once per month for onsites and executive support.
