About the Role

Promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels to drive revenue and support hotel goals. Develops direct marketing plans and targeted campaigns to increase consumer awareness, preference, and market share. Showcases Food and Beverage promotions and connects with regional resources. Integrates local marketing efforts with sales initiatives by partnering with regional eCommerce and Marketing teams. Develops and executes marketing strategies across multiple outlets to align with hotel goals and supports revenue-driving initiatives. Manages internal and external communication and digital presence, including property website, third-party channels, and social media, while maintaining brand integrity. Activates incremental marketing opportunities and reports on campaign performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute overarching marketing strategy, including plans and budgets, aligned with business priorities.
  • Cultivate partnerships and participate in demand generation strategy development.
  • Reconcile marketing plan monthly with accruals and forecasts.
  • Conceptualize and execute property-level programming and activation based on brand guidelines.
  • Serve as the hotel(s) brand guardian and liaison, ensuring all marketing reflects brand voice.
  • Lead the strategic pull-through of continent and brand promotions and campaigns.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategy.
  • Develop and manage property email marketing strategy, digital strategy across M.com and Third-Party sites, and paid media campaigns.
  • Support group lead generation efforts.
  • Analyze and articulate key reports to stakeholders and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Manage internal and external partners to ensure deliverables support hotel strategy.
  • Develop annual digital marketing plan to maximize hotel revenue production and identify digital marketing opportunities.
  • Monitor and provide recommendations for SEO.
  • Set overarching messaging strategy for hotel/group of hotels aligned with positioning.
  • Manage Marriott.com content, OTA content, and Third-Party / Group Site content.
  • Manage photography distribution, including search photos, pre-arrival photos, and photo gallery management.
  • Create landing pages and Discovery Pages to enhance content.
  • Manage guest communications.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships internally and externally.
  • Maintain active engagement with Area Directors of Marketing to communicate recommendations and actionable next steps.
  • Manage PR agency or internal PR messaging.
  • Manage execution of PR events and promotions.
  • Manage outlet marketing opportunities on third-party and local partner sites.
  • Define in-house F&B programming and manage execution.
  • Develop and implement social strategy.
  • Manage paid social media budget and strategy.
  • Review social media content calendars and collect local area and property events.
  • Lead and own asset development, including collateral and photoshoots.
  • Measure and communicate success of campaigns and digital performance.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships and negotiation skills with key internal and external partners/stakeholders.
  • Collect, review, and submit invoices for property marketing efforts.
  • Complete other reasonable duties as requested by leadership.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major and 4 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.
