About the Role
This position is part of a team that contributes to all system projects from conception through maintenance. The systems administrator is responsible for maintaining datacenter and branch systems solutions as well as EUC management platforms.
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and administer system-related solutions, including server solutions (traditional 3-tier and HCI), NAS/SAN, backup, SaaS integrations, and monitoring and maintenance platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex systems issues and collaborate with adjacent teams on Security or Network issues.
- Act as an escalation point for the EUC team for platform issues.
- Report on environment operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
- Maintain and improve solution efficiencies and security through continuous monitoring, research, and structured upgrades.
- Contribute to suitability, stability, and performance by assisting in the definition of policy and best practices, monitoring, and reporting on adherence.
- Create and maintain documentation on systems and processes for internal department use and user education.
- Complete related tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission.
- Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and well-being of all employees.
Requirements
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in a computer systems related field or equivalent experience in IT.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in VMWare and/or Windows Server administration.
- Travel and/or extended or off work hours may be required.

- Domain services: MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Server hardware architecture and design - traditional 3-tier and CI/HCI (e.g. VRTX and VXRail)
- Office 365 Administration
- VMWare including VSAN
- Backup and recovery strategy (vendor VEEAM)
- Virtual EUC (e.g. Citrix XenApp, VDI, RDP)
- Storage Area Networks (Dell Compellent, NetApp, EMC)
- CMP (incl Morpheus)
- Basic knowledge of switching and routing
- Lotus Domino
- Monitoring systems (PTRG/Nagios/Splunk)
