About the Role
Join the opening team for Live Nation’s newest Canadian venue, History, a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity of 2,500. You will play a significant role in establishing this venue as a Toronto staple, hosting over 200 concerts and events annually.
Responsibilities
- Perform various opening and closing busser duties, ensuring servers and kitchen are up to standard for flawless execution.
- Run food accurately to tables in a seamless, gracious manner.
- Stay informed of current menu items, including allergen and nutritional information.
- Keep the floor neat, clean, and free of food, trash, and other obstacles throughout the shift.
- Focus on the cleanliness and sanitation of the space, including storage areas, garbage spaces, and other working spaces.
- Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Ensure all kitchen utensils are organized and stocked for efficient use and access.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
- Create an atmosphere where coworkers are connected and committed through seamless communication and a willingness to help others.
- Maintain thorough communication with the F&B Management team on par levels and various other food & beverage needs.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a busser or similar role in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to carry 2 or more plates around the venue and comfortable carrying them up stairs.
- Takes great initiative and is able to anticipate the needs of servers and kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols & kitchen equipment is an asset, but not required.
- Passion for live events and desire to ensure every customer experience is exceptional!
- Ability to balance being respectful and professional whilst being fun and jovial in a work environment.
