About the Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Client Aviation Manager (CAM) to lead a flight department at the KSYR airport. The role requires a team player dedicated to excellence, aiming to safely and professionally meet client travel needs while upholding Solairus' values of service, safety, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus, FAA, and other manuals and regulations.
- Monitor personal appearance, dress code, and conduct of assigned personnel to maintain high standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of all Solairus Aviation memorandums.
- Coordinate, schedule, and review training for crew and maintenance personnel with contractors.
- Coordinate maintenance test, training, and other flights outside the normal client scheduling system.
- Develop scheduling procedures with clients for reliable and efficient aircraft scheduling.
- Approve and schedule Personal Time Off (PTO) for assigned personnel.
- Update the flight coordinator on aircraft schedule changes and other scheduling impacts.
- Conduct meetings with personnel to coordinate activities, address issues, and foster goodwill.
- Approve expense accounts for assigned personnel.
- Participate in the interview process for assigned personnel.
- Solicit input and approval from the Client Responsible Officer for operational, personnel, and administrative issues.
- Notify the Client Responsible Officer of anticipated pilot relief needs.
- Submit written reports as required by Operations Manuals, with copies to the Client Responsible Officer.
- Revise manuals and publications assigned to aircraft.
- Maintain training currency and monthly flight time records for assigned crewmembers.
- Ensure timely submission of training records, medicals, and other operations data.
- Promote customer goodwill through high-quality service and professional demeanor.
- Promote the business reputation, company image, and goodwill of Solairus Aviation.
- Actively participate in Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and initiatives.
- Adhere to SMS policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Total time = 3000 hours
- PIC = 1500 hours
- MEL = 1500 hours
- MEL PIC = 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet = 500
- Instrument Time = 250 hours
- A management background with a demonstrated track record of exceptional leadership skill is required.
- Experience in multiple facets of training for flight operations personnel.
- Budget development and management experience.
- Interpersonal communication skills to coordinate activities, identify problems, answer questions, pass information, and promote department goodwill.
- Track record of working in and contributing to environments that implement industry best practices in flight operations.

- First class medical required
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis.
- Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
- Must be located or willing to relocate within 2 hours of KSYR.
