About the Role
Surefox North America Inc is a veteran-owned company seeking an experienced Incident Commander Supervisor with high integrity and professionalism to join our team in the Bay Area. You will act as a liaison between Surefox and its Clients, providing professional security guarding services to protect Client personnel and property, deter unauthorized activity, and respond to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team, conducting briefings and debriefings for security officers.
- Coordinate with other supervisors for consistent information flow.
- Disseminate information pertinent to Surefox or Client operations.
- Oversee scheduling, performance management, and policy compliance for security officers.
- Manage timekeeping and leave requests using company systems.
- Ensure team members understand and utilize Timekeeping systems.
- Ensure officers have access to necessary resources (equipment, post orders, SOPs).
- Conduct daily inspections of security equipment and manage sign-in/out procedures.
- Coordinate deployment changes to optimize security coverage during personnel shortages.
- Document and escalate security posture changes as directed.
- Ensure the security team complies with required Client or Surefox internal policies.
- Enforce rest and meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws.
- Address cross-departmental employee concerns and escalate as needed.
- Conduct patrols, monitor access, deter unauthorized entry, and enforce security measures.
- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Respond to emergencies and secure scenes.
- Investigate incidents and report suspicious activity.
- Verify identification and control access.
- Document security events and activities.
- Perform light front desk duties and provide a welcoming environment.
- Build rapport and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
- Proactively de-escalate situations and address concerns professionally.
- Work independently and adapt to varying work paces.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Surefox and Client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations.
- Respond to emergency events, medical & non-medical issues, and staffing deficiencies.
- Handle Client requests in a timely manner.
- Initiate preliminary investigations and write incident reports on internal Client and company issues.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for employment within the United States.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
- Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate.
- Must have a current BSIS guard card or be eligible to qualify for a guard card.
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
- Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or be eligible to qualify for a certification.
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
