About the Role
Surefox North America Inc is seeking professional, high-integrity Security Officers to provide observation, physical security, and overwatch across multiple client programs. This role requires flexibility to work on-call assignments, support various security functions, and adapt to different campus environments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support staffing requirements at multiple campus locations during shortages
- Staff positions including Resilience Officer, Incident Commander, and Supervisor
- Work security at events as required
- Work weekends, holidays, and high-need periods with limited notice
- Support day, swing, and grave shifts
- Comply with standard operating procedures for various programs and clients
- Develop client relationships and facilitate collaboration across departments
- Cooperate with partnering security vendors and operations centers
- Track and report on program performance and compliance
- Utilize electronic communication devices including radios and cellular phones
- Perform foot patrols and monitor access points
- Monitor for unusual activity and respond to emergency situations
- Contact emergency services when necessary
- Monitor entrances and exits to permit authorized access
- Observe departing personnel to prevent theft
- Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
- Provide assistance to employees and maintain a safe environment for visitors
- Attend project meetings to assess security implications
- Work independently and adapt to varying work-paces
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid driver license with a clean driving record
- Pass an extensive background check and drug screening
- Live within driving distance of the San Francisco Bay Area or be willing to relocate
- Hold a current BSIS guard card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated competence in handling emergencies
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass the Surefox Physical Agility Test (SPAT)
- Eligible for employment in the United States
