About the Role

PEAK6 is launching a new business to teach students poker as a way to build strategic thinking, decision-making under uncertainty, and confidence. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor and build the business itself with the PEAK6 team.

Responsibilities

Build and manage the business at UT.
Set the strategy for the business with PEAK6 Co-Founder Jenny Just and her team.
Launch and run the business.
Recruit students and build a community from scratch.
Hire and lead student teachers.
Host one to two sessions per week.
Secure space and campus partners or use the Austin office.
Build and execute the marketing plan.
Track participation and grow the program.
Teach beginner poker lessons one to two times a week.
Recruit students who attend the lessons.
Grow the program from zero.
Deal and teach poker games with support from professional instructors.
Create an engaging environment for participants.

Requirements

Extremely entrepreneurial.
A self-starter.
Charismatic and organized.
Comfortable approaching strangers and recruiting them.
Interested in startups and leadership.
Know how to play poker.
Feel confident dealing and hosting a game.
Some poker experience is required.
Must want to build something impactful.
Open to students of any year, major, or gender.
