About the Role

The Consultant, IT Systems Administrator is part of the Technical Enablement team, responsible for monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, researching, deploying, and documenting hardware, applications, and systems for the company and its clients. This role addresses daily support issues, proactively monitors networks and servers, and upholds network security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, telephones, printers, and projectors at HQ and client sites.
  • Configure and maintain core local and cloud services and applications, including file sharing, email, licensing, and professional tools.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm, ensuring environment stability and performance.
  • Provide daily technical support for all employee devices on supported platforms.
  • Set up devices and systems for new and existing employees, including VOIP, Microsoft Office, ActiTIME, Slack, and network access.
  • Develop and improve IT processes, such as ticket management.
  • Participate in project work, plan future IT developments, and collaborate with Developers on client site solutions.
  • Administer, maintain, and deploy server infrastructure and environments (servers, MicroStrategy, databases) with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor and document network and cloud systems daily for efficiency, applying preventive measures for security, reliability, and capacity.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software conformity and security.
  • Manage internal and client services, including servers, implementations, and applicable environments and applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a technology-related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience as an IT Support Specialist or Systems Administrator.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Airflow.
  • Detailed, practical working knowledge in AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience with deployment, configuration, maintenance, and support of various data and analytics applications.
  • Experience with containerization solutions and platforms.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems, Unix, security, and policies.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, external teams (3rd parties), and client team members.
