About the Role

The Next Steps Coordinator plays a vital role in helping people move forward in their walk with God by leading a volunteer team, creating welcoming environments, and partnering with individuals to shape a lasting faith. This role oversees multiple areas of ministry crucial for spiritual development.

Responsibilities

• Support the Location Pastor in building a life-giving, vibrant culture at The Life Church.
• Lead and develop the Next Steps Team to serve with passion, excellence and consistency.
• Ensure every individual who makes a salvation decision is supported and encouraged by leading the Fresh Start Team.
• Create meaningful Discovery experiences by driving attendance and impact through proactive communication, preparing environments and lessons, and leading the team with clarity and purpose.
• Develop leaders and build the Life Group culture while taking responsibility for its effectiveness, reporting and measurable outcomes.
• Oversee Water Baptisms by coordinating all registrant touchpoints and managing logistics.
• Facilitate the local experience for Leadership Foundations and Life Leadership Bible College by driving enrollment and providing on-site support.
• Strategically support the Location Pastor in coordinating, mobilizing and tracking pastoral care.
• Assist in the planning, preparation and execution of churchwide events.
• Provide leadership during weekend services, regular office hours, and occasional evenings for ministerial volunteer connections and special events.

Requirements

• A love for the local church and a genuine passion to help people grow personally and spiritually.
• Strong relational and communication skills, with the ability to lead adults and relate well to individuals.
• A proven track record of leadership, preferably in a ministry, team, education, or service-based environment.
• High personal standards in organization, follow-through, privacy and team development.
• Comfort with digital tools and a willingness to learn new systems.
• A flexible, team-first attitude and a heart to assist in other areas as needed.
