About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), you will empower individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) by assisting them with daily living tasks and goal achievement, directly contributing to our mission of strengthening communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the client's home and community.
- Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, toiletry, and changing diapers.
- Offer employment support.
- Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
- Help plan and organize client schedules.
- Complete daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn new technology.
- Reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance are mandatory.
- Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are essential.
