About the Role
County Waste / Dunn Landfill has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator at our site in Rensselaer, NY. We prioritize hiring safe equipment operators who care about team safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor grader, scraper, and compactors.
- Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
- Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience running equipment
- Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
