About the Role
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a Part-Time College Aide in its Special Victim Division. This role supports the Division in policy development, training, and external engagement projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Deputy Chief in coordinating and administering the SVD Advisory Council, SVD Survivor Network, Manhattan Sexual Assault Task Force, and other community engagement forums.
- Assist the Deputy Chief in coordinating and administering DANY’s Early Engagement Team Initiative and partnership with the Clinical Forensic Fellowship Program, including recruitment and use of gender-based violence trial experts.
- Assist the Deputy Chief in coordinating and implementing SVD and officewide trainings.
- Conduct state, local, and federal research on SVD related legislation and policy, preparing reports for SVD and DANY’s policy team.
- Support the Division’s partnership with the Community Partnerships Unit on SVD related community-based events and trainings.
Requirements
- Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
- Employment conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Commitment to one (1) year to the hiring unit is desired.
