About the Role
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) group is responsible for the authentication and authorization of human and system users across Adyen's platform, ensuring secure and seamless access while maintaining system integrity. As a Team Lead, you will bear technical responsibility for these vital systems, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical excellence and align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and deliver the next version of Authentication and Authorization at Adyen.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability for authentication and authorization, which are critical flows.
- Lead hands-on by actively coding, participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and system design.
- Ensure high performance by mentoring and coaching engineers and setting a high-quality bar.
- Foster an inspiring and inclusive team culture of ownership, autonomy, collaboration, accountability, and open communication/feedback.
- Effectively manage stakeholders throughout the company.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering impactful, scalable solutions.
- Strong foundation in software engineering with deep system design skills.
- Hands-on experience in technologies such as Java, Postgres, and Redis.
- Experience working with critical, high-load, distributed systems.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members.
- Growth mindset, constantly learning and adopting new practices.
