About the Role
As a Leasing Consultant, Floating, you will manage your own success by attaining leasing goals, such as occupancy and rent growth, and by building rapport with prospects and residents. You will play an important role with the onsite management team and are people who make a big impact in small ways, understanding the importance of first impressions.
Responsibilities
- Step in as the acting Property Manager at assigned locations as needed.
- Tour properties with prospects, answering questions about amenities, the local community, and other property details.
- Assist prospects in qualifying for an apartment home by collecting appropriate information and initiating background checks.
- Ensure all fees, deposits are collected from prospects and/or residents in a timely manner.
- Execute marketing and lead management activities to drive traffic to properties and create a lasting first impression.
- Maintain knowledge about local market conditions and shop local competition.
- Deliver unmatched service to residents to exceed their expectations, while maintaining resident retention.
- Perform required office activities and coordinate paperwork related to apartment home rentals using attention to detail, planning, and organizing skills.
- Ensure all aspects of the move-in process are completed in advance of lease signing and coordinate with on-site staff where assistance is required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Escalate any unusual property/resident concerns to the appropriate Property Manager and/or Director in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 + years of related sales experience.
- Ability to manage time and schedule effectively and independently when covering leasing responsibilities for one or more Rhapsody locations.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
- Experience with Yardi is considered an asset.
- Functional knowledge of various Social Media tools and best practices.
- Dedication to providing and modeling “Best in Class” Service.
- Capacity for collaboration, with ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, matrixed and ambiguous environment.
- Self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency, a demonstrated work ethic and integrity.
