About the Role
Crisis Response Specialists will evaluate consumers to determine the need for additional psychological, psychiatric, or clinical services and activate on-call Master’s Level Clinicians when necessary. The 988 Program offers 24/7 mobile community outreach for adults experiencing mental health, substance use, or suicidal emergencies, aiming for crisis de-escalation without law enforcement intervention unless safety is compromised.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating consumers to determine the need for additional psychological, psychiatric, or clinical services.
- Activating the on-call Master’s Level Clinician for additional support when needed.
- Providing assessment, risk assessment, safety planning, linkage to services, and follow-up care.
- Conducting crisis de-escalation with the goal of avoiding law enforcement intervention.
Requirements
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field from an accredited institution plus two years post Bachelor's professional experience.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited institution with three years’ post Bachelor’s professional experience in a mental health field.
- Driver's license must be in good standing with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 20 MPH.
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.

- $20.00 - $23.00 Hourly
- $1.00 shift differential for hours worked during 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
