About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the Millwright function.
  • Perform skilled functions utilizing hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, and mechanical expertise.
  • Prevent equipment failure through analysis, parts replacement, and adherence to an approved maintenance program.
  • Repair machinery breakdowns promptly and analyze failures to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Construct equipment and machine parts from blueprints and/or broken parts.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to identify and resolve minor problems.
  • Participate in the installation of new or relocated production lines, including piping, air, water, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ensure proper fit and operation of machine parts, meeting all specifications.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures, including SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Immediately notify the Maintenance Manager of any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or questions regarding safety procedures.
  • Maintain company housekeeping and safety requirements, identify and report safety hazards, and meet all WHMIS objectives and standards.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 - High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Completed Millwright 433A (level 1, 2, 3)
