About the Role
The Platform Engineer, Dynamics (F&O) maintains the F&O platform, leads design initiatives, builds new customizations, fixes bugs, and works on integrations with other modules. This role involves researching, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Understand limitations and functional capabilities of out-of-the-box functionality as well as custom code.
- Identify creative workarounds to meet requirements without the development of custom code.
- Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
- Liaise with other technical teams, network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior software developers and research assistants.
- Identify business requirements and match them with technological capabilities and with Microsoft's continuous release plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within D365.
- Certifications in professional Microsoft Dynamics or other relevant technologies.
- Proficiency in X++, AX, Entity Framework, C#, .NET, SQL Server, Web Services, XML.
- Specialization in one/more of Finance; Supply Chain; Integration; Security.
