About the Role

AWWD seeks an experienced GIS professional to help design, support, maintain, and enhance GIS solutions for our evolving utility. The GIS Coordinator will play a critical role in developing and maintaining robust and accurate GIS applications to meet the needs of a growing customer population.

Responsibilities

  • Design, support, maintain, and enhance GIS solutions.
  • Develop and maintain robust and accurate GIS applications.
  • Manage data and implement creative solutions.
  • Learn the history behind processes and challenge assumptions.
  • Listen actively and follow up on initiatives.
  • Implement agile applications that align with the District's strategic direction.
  • Integrate GIS with OpenGov Enterprise Asset Management and an enterprise content management system.

Requirements

  • Experienced GIS professional.
  • Well-rounded, systemic thinker.
  • Comfortable managing data and implementing creative solutions.
  • Enthusiastic innovator.
  • Inquisitive and active listener.
  • Confidence to admit when they don't know.
  • Initiative to follow up and implement agile applications.
  • Partner with existing GIS Coordinator, IT Applications Administrators, Systems Administrator, Application Integrator, IT Project Manager, and IT Applications Manager.

Salary/Compensations

  • GIS Coordinator – $103,002 - $138,050 annually
  • Senior GIS Coordinator -- $110,198 - $147,701 annually
