About the Role
As an escrow officer, you are the human link between our process and people, reviewing contracts, ensuring paperwork is completed efficiently and accurately, and working with agents and clients to keep the process moving forward. You will verify titles are clean, taxes are paid, and loans are funded, ensuring all terms are met before funds or property change hands.
Responsibilities
- Manage the intricacies of the contract from beginning to end, ensuring timely, efficient, and error-free closing.
- Verify all paperwork is complete for timely and accurate escrow closing.
- Work with lenders and underwriters to ensure all requirements are met for funding and completing transactions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry players including agents, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and government agencies.
- Market the business by reaching out to new agents, earning their confidence and trust, and retaining agents through white-glove service.
- Train escrow assistants, delegate tasks, audit work, answer questions, and provide direction.
- Be present at closing to ensure a positive and memorable experience for agents and buyers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to three years of escrow experience, including both front- and back-end experience.
- Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
- Technical knowledge of the closing process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to update parties and resolve issues.
